Another view of the altar (During the 11:15 service)
View of the altar (11:15 service)

We know that often people worry about going somewhere new for the first time and we’d like to make coming to church as easy as possible. So, this page will try and give you some idea of what to expect. You can also see some pictures of the church and the sort of things that go on during the year.

To help find us in the first place, we provide a map. You’ll also find a list of people to contact if you need to. You can also find out more about us.

One thing you’ll probably want to know is how long the services actually last for! The 8am service lasts for about 30 minutes, 9:30am lasts for about 1 hour, and both the 11:15 and 6:30pm services last for about 45 minutes. These times are approximate, but are usually about right! You can find out more information our worship and the different styles of service we have.

When you enter the church building someone will greet you at the door and give you a copy of the service book, hymn book and the weekly newsletter

You can usually sit on any vacant seat unless it has a notice on it specifically saying it is reserved. If you are not sure what to do, just follow everyone else or, if you prefer, you can just remain seated throughout the service. The different services all have different styles of worship, so if you don’t like one service, please do try another!

Children's Corner
Children’s Corner

Children are welcome at any of our services and we do understand that they will sometimes make a noise! At our 9:30am and 6:30pm services there is a Children’s Corner on the opposite side to the font, where there is carpet, cushions, quiet toys, books, crayons and paper for you to use. Please feel free to use it, or just ask a sidesperson for advice. There are always lots of young families at the 11:15 service.

There is a toilet you can use in the back vestry. To reach this, go through the double doors (shown in the photograph; click to see a larger version) next to the pulpit and then through the door immediately in front of you. The toilet is the room with the white door to your left.

The bus
The Minibus

If you need help in getting to church, we run a minibus to and from our 9:30am service, every week. Please contact our transport co-oridinator for more details. If you use a hearing aid, then we have an induction loop, to help you hear the service properly. Simply switch your hearing aid to the T position.

After our 9:30am and 11:15am services drinks are served. Please do join us.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our services. Please introduce yourself to the Vicar or one of the sidespeople.

Becoming rooted in God, growing together in faith, reaching out with love.
