Mustard Seed Stories
Our Lent meetings this year are based around the stories of some ordinary people from the Stoke area living out their faith in different ways. People like Keith a firefighter, Katie running a homeless drop-in and Marg, playing her fiddle down in the pub. They help us think about ways we live out our faith, and how small seeds can grow.
Our groups will meet for five weeks, beginning on Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th or Thursday 26st February.
Please put your name on the list in church or let Simon know if you would like to join a group. Feel free to mix groups if you need to.
Tuesday evenings 7.45pm at 23, Station Road
Wednesday evenings 7.45pm at 11, Windsor Gardens
Thursday mornings 11.30am at 1, Windsor Gardens
Thursday evenings 7.45pm at the Vicarage, 48 Church Road
Quiet Morning: Going deeper – praying with the psalms. We’re delighted that Revd. Philip Swan is coming back to St. Nic’s to lead this morning on Sat 21st Feb from 10am – 1pm. Philip is a very interesting speaker. Sign up on the list in church if you hope to come.
Simon’s Lent Library. It’s good to read something during Lent that will help us on our inner journey with God. Simon has brought 50 books from his shelves to lend out during Lent. Have a look at the back of St. Nic’s and find one for you.
Starting Lent well. We also have two special services to begin Lent well. Our Alternative Lent Service is on Sun 15th Feb at 5pm at St. Nic’s, with words, images and space to think. Our special Ash Weds Service on 18th February is at 7.30pm.
Happy growing this Lent!
